Claude Oceanus Leaks are INSANE!

Claude Oceanus is coming for everyone, and it's just been leaked. Here's what happened a few days ago. A model string popped up inside Anthropic's own console. The name was Claude Oceanus V1-P.

It showed up on June the 3rd, and within hours, it had leaked out onto a Chinese API proxy. People started testing it, and the early word is it might be the most powerful AI model the public has ever been allowed to touch. So let me back up and tell you why this matters to you, even if you've never written a line of code, even if you still think AI is just a chat bot that answers questions, because this one story changes what is possible for your business, and I'll show you exactly how. Now, here's the backstory.

Anthropic makes Claude. You probably know Claude, but what most people don't know is that Anthropic had a secret model sitting in a vault for months. They called it Claude Mythos, and they refused to release it. Why?

They said it was too dangerous, not being dramatic. That's their own words. Back on April the 7th, they put out this new release saying that it's coming out, blah, blah, blah. It's too dangerous for the world.

Basically, a company has built an AI so capable they're scared of their own model and their own product. The model actually showed up in Anthropic's Claude console on June the 3rd. Red team testers got access to it, and then someone resold that access through a proxy service based in China. Red teamers, by the way, are the people whose whole job is to try and break the model and make it misbehave.

They get early access on purpose. That's normal. What's normal, sorry, what's not normal is somebody taking that access and selling it on the site. When that happened, Anthropic paused access for the whole red team group and started an internal investigation.

That's why you might have seen some people online panicking that something got shut down. It got paused because of a leak, not because the model actually failed. Now, the leaked numbers, somebody found Oceanus running on that Chinese proxy. The price they spotted was $16 per million words going in and $80 per million words coming out with a one million word memory running at 52 words per second.

By the way, none of this is confirmed by Anthropic, just being 100% honest here. Nobody's officially testing it. What we've got are leaked model names, proxy endpoints, and reports from red teamers. So a trail of breadcrumbs all pointing in the same direction.

So treat the price as a rumor because that's what it is right now. But here's a piece that's solid, and this is a big one about a week ago, Anthropic put out a blog post, and in it they said something they've never said before, which is they confirmed they plan to release Miphos-class models to the public in the coming weeks. Their words were that they're making swift progress on safety and expect to bring Miphos-class models to all their customers soon. To all their customers, not just like the secret consortium of Project Glasswing, which is the only people who have access to it right now.

Everyone, that's not a leak, that's the company saying it out loud. So when you put it together, the Oceanus model showing up in testing, plus Anthropic publicly saying Miphos for everyone is weeks away. The picture gets clear. The most powerful AI they've ever made is about to stop being a secret.

Now, let me pause for a second because I know what some of you are thinking. You're thinking, I'm not a developer, I'm not interested in security so much. What's it got to do with my little business? Fair enough.

Let me answer that. Here's the thing about a model this strong. It's built to reason, to plan, and to run long jobs, work that takes hours. So it's going to be an amazing step up in terms of what you can achieve.

At the same time, it's also going to have limitations because not everyone's going to be able to afford it. And maybe it's just on API, for example. Maybe they don't release it inside Cloud, but you can only get it via an API key. So there's things to consider here because it's going to be amazing, but you have to understand how to take advantage of it.

Let me clear up the names here too since the internet's been a mess about this.

Miphos is the family, the powerful locked away line, and Oceanus is understood to be built directly on top of the Miphos Preview Foundation. So you want to think of Miphos as a recipe and Oceanus as the new dish they're getting ready to actually serve. Bear in mind, like it could totally change. Usually these are internal testing models.

So they change, for example, like Spud and Potato from ChatGPT was actually, sorry, not Potato, Spud, was actually a internal testing name from ChatGPT when they released it, it was GPT 5.5. Now some of the early testers say Oceanus feels even stronger than the original Miphos Preview they saw back in the winter. That's their word, not mine, it's not confirmed, but the people who got their hands on it are not quiet about it. Also, there's an internal chart tied to Miphos Preview that reportedly shows engineers writing up to eight times more code using it compared to about two and a half times more with an older Claude model.

So eight times, now that's for coders, but if you sit with that principle for a minute, well, you could achieve eight times more with a totally different league of AI models. I think we've all seen our productivity spike up since we started using AI. So the old way is you do the work yourself or you hire people and you move at the speed of human hands, one task at a time, tiered by 5 p.m., right? Now the new way is you point a model at the job and it runs the whole thing whilst you sleep.

So this could totally change everything in terms of how autonomous AI agents are and also how interesting and powerful they are. The other thing to note here as well is that Claude actually came out and released a report, very recently, that said they recommend the whole world just pausing on frontier-level AI because it's moving so fast. So it's really interesting to see this and on expert-level tasks that no model could touch before April last year, Miphos actually succeeds 73% of the time. So we're moving so fast with this stuff.

That's the curve we're all standing on. Things are getting better, faster. We're all seeing these new updates come out. I mean, Minimax M3 just came out, for example, and all these new models are just getting better, faster, more powerful, and cheaper.

So this is also expected to be three times more expensive than Claude Opus. Bear that in mind, that it's going to be a lot more expensive. And also, this indicates that the Miphos framework was just kind of like a stepping stone towards like a ultra-premium, sort of locked-down corporate model as well. So who knows what's going to happen next, but I'm paying attention.

Sounds pretty interesting. Bear in mind, like, there's already meetings between governments about this sort of stuff. So it's really at the point now where, you know, something this powerful could change so much for us. Polymarket actually estimates a rough 68% chance of Miphos coming out by the end of next month, so in July.

Also, bear in mind, Miphos is very focused on reasoning, coding, cybersecurity, and long-horizon agentic tasks. Now, if we all get access to more long-horizon agentic tasks, that means it could totally change the economy, right? I don't know about you, but for me personally, I've rarely hired this year. Whereas last year, it seemed like I was hiring new virtual assistants every single week.
