If you're using Hermes Agent right now, this video is the most important one you'll watch this week because the latest update version 0.14 that literally just dropped made it dramatically faster, smarter and more capable than ever before. But here's the thing that most people are going to miss completely. The update alone is not the full story. The story is what happens when you run this update inside a proper agent operating system, because Hermes 0.14 running on its own is powerful, but Hermes v0.14 running inside a full agent OS system is a completely different machine.
And I'm going to show you exactly what that looks like. Let's start with what actually changed in the latest update, and then I'll show you why none of it reached its full potential without the right system around it and how you can build that out. So the first thing you'll notice is that Hermes now installs with one line if you're setting up the first time. So you can just run this directly with a one line command.
That's one of the biggest updates inside this. You can type pip install to get Hermes Agent running inside your terminal and you're done. Before this update, you had to clone GitHub repositories and everything else. Now, another thing here is that it supports Grok OAuth, which means that you can generate videos, you get a much bigger context window, and you can generate images and text to speech.
Using Grok OAuth, so you can just sign into Hermes latency right here with your Twitter account if you're already subscribed to Grok, and then you can use that for free inside Hermes Agent, which is pretty amazing. So what we can do, for example, is we can plug that into an agent operating system, which you can see right here, and we can use that to generate videos, for example. So if we play back some of these videos that we've just created using Grok inside our agentic OS, we can manage this. Now, compare that to using, for example, Terminal.
Terminal, with this new update, is not as powerful because we can't visualize the videos, we can't really say directly, OK, we want to generate images here or videos here. We can't see a history of what we've created, and so it's just not as useful compared to if you've got an agent operating system. And that's the biggest difference here. If you're running Hermes inside of raw Hermes Terminal with no dashboard, no memory, no command center, you're still flying blind because you set a task, it runs somewhere, you kind of hope it works, but you can't see it, you can't manage it.
You can't build on top of it, and speed about visibility is still chaos, right? And that's exactly why the agent operating system matters so much. So you can see it right here, and this is how it works. This plugs directly into Hermes, which we've got available inside the chat.
This can search for Twitter, it can generate images anytime. We can also combine it with Claude as well, so we can switch over to Claude here and start using Claude or OpenClaude as well. So you've basically got a dashboard showing all of your running tasks, a history of everything your agent has ever done, a command board for managing what comes next. And the speed actually can bounce into something useful.
I mean, you can actually see what it's doing and visualize it here. If we want to create content, or I want to see what content I've previously created, I can just have a look, right? I could be like, oh, here's the latest blog that we've created using Hermes agent. It was all automated, all deployed directly to my website.
And that's because I have this amazing operating system, right? So you can stack tasks on top of each other, and the speed becomes productive instead of just fast. And it's the same story with like the new computer use updates that have come out with Hermes agent. So computer use agents are now way faster using this update, and it can control your browser.
Now, before this update, computer use where Hermes can control your mouse, it can, for example, open up apps, click around your screen, only really worked with Anthropx models, which was Claude only. Now, if you're on Grok or GPT 5.5, for example, it can actually work directly with them. So any model that can see your screen can operate your computer through Hermes. So you can say, OK, open my notes app, create a note, write out the three automations I should build this week based on what I'm working on.
And Hermes will just do that in the background whilst you keep working without interrupting you. And that last part is critical, right? It runs quietly in the background. Your screen doesn't get hijacked, unlike traditional sort of AI agents working with this.
It just handles the task whilst you're doing something else. But again, imagine doing that inside the terminal here, how messy that would be. You would have no record, no history. If it fails, you might not even know until like later when you realize that thing didn't happen.
Whereas inside a command center with task tracking, you can see the status of every computer use task in real time. You can see what's happened, right? So we can go inside Hermes here and we can say, OK, use computer use and create a beautiful note with notes app explaining what I should automate today, etc. Right.
And so I can see that it's working on this task right here. And it's really easy to come back to later. I can also see all of my previous conversation history. Whereas, for example, inside Hermes agent here, I can't see anything that I've done previously, right?
Like it's not going to remember the previous sessions because it doesn't get recorded inside or loaded inside terminal when we run this, right? So the difference here is huge. Not just in, for example, all of our different tasks that we automate day to day like SEO and studio. We can use those and look back on them, etc.
But also one of the biggest issues here with Hermes particularly is that with Hermes, it doesn't have the history inside the terminal. And you can see here that the task has been completed. So it says open the notes app to see it's ready to review and start implementing. Right.
Now, if we pull up our notes, you can see that it's created this awesome guide on like, here's what we need to do today. Right. Here are the things that we need to implement. So it's super useful and easy to set up.
And it did that in the background whilst I was talking to you. Now, let's talk about Grok 4.3 with this new release, because that's probably the main highlight. Right. And this one of the biggest additions in this update and most people aren't selling it.
Right. Grok 4.3 is now connected to Hermes via an OAuth connection, which means if you're already subscribed to Grok, you don't need an API key. You can just log in and Grok 4.3 brings a million token context window into your Hermes session. So one million tokens means you can drop your entire content archive into your, for example, that could be like your full client onboarding documents, could be months of emails, all your SOPs in a single prompt.
And Hermes can work with it all without hitting any limits. Right. And because Grok is now connected, Twitter search is built in directly. You don't need any APIs.
You could just ask the agent to search for the latest news on whatever topic matters to your business. And it pulls it in live. You know, for anyone running a content business, an agency or any kind of service business where staying current matters, that's a real daily time save. But here's where it starts to get interesting.
With Grok 4.3 plugged in, you can turn Hermes into a full media creation system. So images, videos, audio, all inside one agent or from single prompts. And the workflow that actually works is this. You can ask Hermes to write the generation prompt first because an AI that already knows the model you're using is going to write a better prompt than you can.
And then you will use that prompt to generate the actual outputs inside your studio. As long as you're using that agent OS, you get better outputs with less effort. And it only really works cleanly if you're inside this agent OS system. You can use Claude to build it if you just ask it. So this works really cleanly when it's organized. So when you have a media studio section inside your agent OS where you can see all your generated images, you can see all of your previously generated videos, history, your audio files as well.
So it's got text to speech as you can see over here. You can preview everything in one place before it goes anywhere. So if you're generating video inside a raw terminal, you get the file path back. That's it, right?
You're not going to get the full image. You can't load the image and preview it inside the chat. You have to go find the file, open it up separately, check if it works, etc. Then multiply that across 10 tasks a day and you're spending half your time just managing the mess.
And the agent OS system removes the mess. The studio section handles all of it in one clean interface. You can see what was generated, play it back, download it and decide what to use. So that's the difference between a tool and an operating system.
Now I want to spend a minute just talking about the memory system here as well, because this is something that most people completely skip over. But the memory system is probably the thing that separates an agent that feels genuinely smart from one that just feels like a generic sort of chatbot with extra steps, right? So if your Hermes agent doesn't know who you are, it gives you generic answers. It doesn't know what business you run, what tools you use, who your clients are, what you're trying to build.
So it treats every conversation like the first one. Every prompt has to include all the context from scratch. And the results feel like they could have come from anyone because it could have, right? The fix is linking Hermes to a memory system, a local file, an Obsidian vault, whatever you use.
Personally, I use Obsidian. It's pretty amazing. Like it just maps out my whole life. The agents take all the notes, so I don't have to record anything personally.
And then I've got this beautiful little setup where it knows me, my hobbies, what I work on, who my businesses are and everything else, right? And that's real information about your business, your goals, your typical tasks, how you work, your services. So once Hermes has that, it stops being generic. So if you ask it for automation ideas like we did with computer use earlier, right?
Well, all of those ideas are based on what you actually do. And when it writes content, it sounds like your brand. When it researches, it prioritizes what's relevant to your specific business and market. So inside a proper agent OS, that memory system becomes the foundation that everything else runs on.
So if we go to the memory section here, we can see all of our notes. We can see what's happened recently. We can see our full setup. You know, you can see here, it's actually taking in the latest information from my last memories.
We can search across that manually as well. We can see all of our recent notes, what we've done, as you can see right here, super useful. And your browser tasks have context. Your computer use tasks have context.
Your content generation has context. You can plug this into any AI agent that you prefer. It could be Claude, could be Codex, could be Hermes, could be OpenCore, whatever you want. And every agent, every workflow, every automation is informed by who you are and what you're trying to build.
So if you take the memory out, you've got a fast tool. But if you keep the memory in, you've got something closer to an AI business partner that actually knows you and your business. And here's where something worth pausing on as well, right? Most people using AI tools in 2026 have the same problem.
Like five different tools, five different logins, five different contexts, none of them talking to each other. Maybe Chachibitty over there, Claude in another tab, maybe Hermes in a terminal somewhere, a separate image tool, a separate video tool. And you're the one doing all the coordination. You're the one and the connective tissue basically holding it together.
Which means you're spending most of your time managing tools instead of actually getting work done. The agent OS system changes that entirely, right? You've got one command center, one place where every model lives. Hermes, Claude, OpenCore, whatever comes next, right?
One memory system feeding context to all of them. One dashboard where you can see every running task, every completed task, every piece of generated content.
