Today I'm going to show you exactly how to set up GLM 5.1 which is China's probably best model at this minute. It's just come out from ZAI and you can set it up with Cloud Code and also Open Claw for free. Now a lot of people switch into local models or to cloud-hosted models with Olama simply because Anthropic cut support for Open Claw. So recently Cloud Code came out and said no more using Claude and the OAuth login for working with Open Claw and also Hermes or any sort of third-party agent.
And that's because it was just costing them too much, it was getting them too expensive etc. And so a lot of people are using GLM 5.1 right now. That is the one. And it doesn't use up a lot of tokens which is great.
Also it's very affordable and if you just want to test it out or if you want to use it within reason, you know not rinse the credits, you can use this with the cloud model of Olama. And you can also use this directly. So I'm going to show you exactly how to use this directly. So the first thing you want to do is make sure that you download Olama.
You just copy and paste this command from the website like you see right here. So copy and paste this one. Once you've done that then you're going to go to models here. And you go into GLM 5.1 and you can start using this directly if you just want to use this inside the terminal like that.
Or you can actually open up Olama. So if we go to Olama here, we can use GLM 5.1 inside Olama as well. So if we go inside a new chat here and we select GLM 5.1, we can see that we've got GLM 5.1 cloud here. So we've got two options.
We can use it inside the terminal or we can use it inside Olama directly. And they're both pretty quick and fast and easy to use. And again as long as you stick within the token limits, which are limited, but as long as you stick within them, you actually get a free setup with GLM 5.1 cloud. Now if you actually want to use the full agent capabilities of GLM 5.1 cloud, you can actually go to z.ai and you can get access right there.
So you can go to z.ai, you've got free access to the agent, you've got free access to the chat, and you see how we've got the latest flagship model GLM 5.1 right there. It's pretty amazing that you get access to that and you get access to it for free using z.ai directly. So you've got this inside the chat, Olama, you've got it inside here, and you've got it in z.ai. That's how you can get free access.
Now also if you go inside Cloud Code, for example, we can use GLM 5.1 with Cloud Code. So if we open up a new terminal window here and we're just going to press command and t to open up a new tab in the terminal, paste that command in, we've now got access to Cloud Code. So if we just test see working and we'll make sure this works. And the thing I like about GLM 5.1 is it's pretty fast, but it's pretty smart as well.
It's one of the best APIs I've used. It's right up there with like KimiK 2.5 and that sort of thing. You can see how fast it is to reply here too. And then finally we've got OpenCLL here, so we can run this with OpenCLL like that.
We're going to hit yes on this, wait for that to load up, and then that will start the assistant with GLM 5.1 Cloud. Now if you do need to rinse the tokens, you know, then you can always upgrade to like the $20 a month plan, but for most people they're not going to need to do that, right, for the majority of people. So we've got access to that, we're just going to run this with the token, let's go over here, and that should open up with OpenCLL. We're going to just have a look and see, are you working?
And that should start working with this. Yes, look how fast that is to reply. Wow, it's so fast inside OpenCLL. Let's just double check.
Whoa, I've never seen it, I've never seen an API move that fast to be fair. That is pretty amazing, right? It's like, yes, I'm literally here, hit me up with whatever you need. It's pretty cool.
You can see like the terminal chat here, or you can go inside the web UI. I prefer the web UI because it just looks a lot cleaner. And so the benefit of that is that number one, you get GLM 5.1 Cloud, so you don't need to rely on Cloud. Number two, it's free to set up.
And number three, it's so easy to set up, right, because all it's doing is you're just copying and pasting a command into your terminal, and then boom, you have access. So that's how you can run GLM 5.1 directly with Olama. And you can see the benchmarks here. So if we compare this to, for example, like Minimax M2.7 or DeepSeq, I mean, it's crushing.
It's absolutely crushing, right? HLE is crushing at 31 versus 28 and 25.1 for DeepSeq and Minimax. If we actually go over here, we've got Claude 4.6 on the right-hand side, right? So you see how we've got Claude Opus 4.6 over here, right?
So GLM 5.1, which is the model we're using versus Opus. And Opus is still more powerful, but this is paid. This is free, right? And again, like they're pretty close on some other things, like HLE with tools.
Bear in mind, like if you're using this for OpenCLR, then you actually want to have a really good score with tools. And so this is outperforming like pretty much all of the open source models right here as well, right? Your GBQA Diamond as well. You got, for example, Terminal Bench, basically all these things.
But if you want to run GLM 5.1 for free with OpenCLR, with Claude Code, et cetera, you can do that using this method right here. Super simple and easy, and it works nicely as I was showing you. So thanks so much for watching. If you want to get access to all my best trainings on GLM 5.1, OpenCLR, Claude Code, et cetera, you can get that inside the AI Profit Boarding.
