Google Gemini just dropped 6 free updates in a single week and most people scrolled right past every single one. Today I'm going to walk you through all 6, not because they all matter equally, they don't, but because 2 of them, if you start using them this week, are going to change how much work you can actually get done every single day, permanently, without working harder. Let me start with the one that caught my attention first. Gemini 3.1 Flash, TTS, just landed.
TTS stands for text-to-speech. It turns written text into spoken audio. But if you're thinking, yeah, text-to-speech, I've heard of that, stay with me because what Google just did here is totally different. Most text-to-speech tools give you one voice reading your words out loud.
Flat. Robotic. Fine for some things, not great for most. Gemini 3.1 Flash, TTS, does multi-speaker dialogue natively.
That means you can write a script, it could be a podcast, a product explainer, a training video, a customer support script, and it generates 2 completely different voices having a real back-and-forth conversation. It figures out who's speaking when. It handles the turns automatically and it's available in 70 different languages. Then there's Audio Tags.
Now this is the part that most people are completely missing. Audio Tags lets you tell Gemini how to deliver the words. Not just what to say, but how to say it. Excited, nervous, matter-of-fact, rushed, slow and deliberate.
You control the emotional tone of the voice without having to direct a recording session or hire an actor. Think about what this means, for example, for video ads. You write the script, you set the tone, Gemini 3.1 Flash TTS generates the audio, and an agency owner, for example, producing ads for like 5 different clients, just cut their production process down from 2 or 3 days of recording and editing to about 20 minutes. This is accessible through the Gemini API right now.
So if you use Google AI Studio or any tool that connects to it, you can start testing this out today. Now I want to hold an open loop for you here because by the time I finish walking you through all 6 of these, you're going to see that there's a clear pattern in what Google is doing. It's not random and it has a direct impact on how competitive your business is 12 months from now. Keep that in the back of your mind as a go for each one.
Before I keep going as well, if you want a step-by-step playbook on how to use Gemini 3.1 Flash TTS to produce audio content, video voiceovers and ad scripts at scale, we've got that mapped out inside the AR Profit Boarding. You get a 30-day roadmap built specifically around Google Gemini tools. Daily tutorials showing you how to use each update as it ships and plugs into your content workflows to get more customers. 4 live coaching calls every week where you can bring your Gemini TTS setup and ask questions live with people already using it for client work and 2,800 business owners in there right now.

Google just upgraded their robotics model so that robots can look at physical objects and reason about them, not just follow the script, but actually think about what's in front of them and decide what to do. Why does this matter to you if you're not in robotics? Because this is Google's signal of where AI is going. Reading and writing was phase one.
Seeing and acting in the real world is phase two. Any business that involves physical products, packaging, inventory, or logistics is going to feel this within the next couple of years. You don't need to act on it today, but knowing it's coming means you can start thinking about it now and where it fits. Number three, the Gemini Mac app, and this one is genuinely simple.
Google released a Mac desktop app for Gemini, and the shortcut to open it is Option plus Space once you've downloaded it. See, if you use a Mac, that shortcut is going to feel immediately familiar. It's the same kind of shortcut as Spotlight, the search bar built into your Mac. So now, Gemini is just as fast to open as your search bar.
You don't need a browser. You don't need to switch taps. You just hit two keys and you're in. This sounds small, but think about the friction it removes, because before this, every time you wanted to use Gemini, during your workday, you had to open a browser, navigate to the app, wait for it to load, maybe 30 seconds to a minute just to get there.
If you're doing that 10 times a day, well, that's up to 10 minutes just clicking buttons. It makes no sense. Times that by five days a week, and that's close to an hour a week you're just using clicking buttons, right? With the Mac app and Option and Space, Gemini is just there instantly, always ready.
Download this today if you're on a Mac, build the habit, start small, even if you're just using it to quickly rephrase on email before you send it. The habit compounds fast once it's frictionless. Number four, personal intelligence upgrades inside the Gemini app. So Google added two new integrations here.
One is Google Photos, the other is Nano Banana 2. The Google Photos integration lets Gemini pull from your actual photo library when you're creating images. So instead of getting a generic AI image that looks like every other AI image, you can now give Gemini real visual context from your own photos, your brand colors, your products, your environments, and it creates something that actually fits your world. Nano Banana 2 is Google's upgraded image generation model, sharper outputs, better at following reference material.
And when you upload a photo and say, make something that looks like this, but with X added, it can actually do it properly now. For an e-commerce store owner, for example, this is the difference between spending $1,000 on a product, a photo shoot, and spending zero, right? You take one good photo on your phone, feed it into Gemini with Google Photos integration turned on, and generate 10 variations of lifestyle imagery without a photographer, a studio, or a model. This is live now for AI Pro, AI Plus, and Ultra subscribers in the U.S.
If you already pay for Gemini and you're in the U.S., go check your settings right now. This is already on. Number five, Google AI Studio updates. Two things landed here, design previews and tab, tab, tab functionality.
Let me explain what that means. So design previews lets you see a visual render of whatever you're building inside AI Studio before it's finished. So if you're building a client-facing tool, a custom prompt workflow, or an automation, you can now check what it looks like as you go. You're not building blind.
The tab, tab, tab feature is a keyboard shortcut that speeds up how you move through AI Studio. Each press of tab advances you to the next field option. It's like autocomplete, but for your build process. It sounds minor, but when you're deep in a project, for example, and you're moving fast, cutting that friction actually adds up.
Now, if you use AI Studio to build automations or tools for clients, both of these updates make your builds faster and your handoffs cleaner. Number six, and this is the one that matters most for everyday use, Google Chrome Skills. So Google just released a feature called Skills for Google Chrome. And here's what it does.
You save a Gemini prompt as a skill. That skill shows up in your browser as a one-click button. You highlight any text on any webpage or in any document, open in Chrome, click your skill, and Gemini runs your prompt on that text instantly. So there's no switching tabs.
There's no copying and pasting. There's no retyping your instructions every time. And let me make that concrete for you. Say you deal with customer emails every day.
Let's say you have a prompt you use to draft professional warm replies from rough notes. Right now, you open up Gemini, you paste the email, you type the prompt, you wait for the output, maybe two minutes. With Google Chrome Skills, you highlight the email, click one button, and the reply is drafted in seconds. That's literally it.
Or let's say, for example, you do SEO content. You're always summarizing and studying articles for research. Well, you highlight the article, you click your skill, Gemini summarizes it, and boom, shakalaka, it's done, right? The skill you set up once runs forever, every single time.
And you can now have multiple skills saved, one for rewriting, one for summarizing, one for replying, one for generating ideas, and one for even creating captions from text. Each one is one single click, so it makes it easy, too. This is available inside Google Chrome right now. It's free.
You don't need to buy anything new. You just set it up. And here's the honest truth about Google Chrome Skills. This feature on its own could realistically save a content creator or agency owner one to two hours every single day.
Not because the AI is doing something new, but because the friction to run it is now basically zero. And that's the thing nobody talks about with AI. The technology isn't always a bottleneck. The friction is a bottleneck, right?
When you have to open a new tab, copy text, navigate, paste, wait, copy the outputs back, you do it once or twice, and then you stop because it feels like extra work. It feels like extra friction. Chrome Skills removes every single one of those steps, which means you actually use it every day consistently. Now zoom out for a second because I promised you there was a pattern across all six of these updates.
And here it is. Google is not trying to win by having the best model. They're trying to win by putting AI into every single surface you already use every day, right? Look at it.
Chrome, Mac, Google Photos, AI Studio, voice tools, browser shortcuts. You are already inside these tools every single day. You already have Google Chrome open. You already use option and space muscle memory on your Mac, right?
You already take photos on your Google account. Google is just moving Gemini into all of that. So that using AI isn't a separate activity you go and do. It's just part of everything you already do.
Ambient, always on, zero extra steps. This is a completely different strategy from OpenAI or Anthropic. OpenAI wants you to go to chat, cheaper tea. Anthropic wants you to come to Claude, right?
Google is saying, don't come to us. We'll come to you wherever you already are. And the implications of that are significant because right now the people who learn how to use each of these services well are going to be dramatically more productive than the people who don't. And the Chrome skills user who has 20 custom prompts saved in their browser by the end of the year is going to be operating at a totally different level than the person still copying and pasting into a chat window.
The gap isn't talent. It isn't effort either. It's just habit and setup. Right now, we're in a window where most people haven't bothered to set these things up, even though they know they should.
That's actually a short window. Six months from now, those people are probably going to be starting to test out. And the people who act on this right now, like today, are going to be so far ahead that catching up becomes genuinely difficult. So here's what I want you to actually do after this video.
Pick one of these. If you're on a Mac, download the Gemini app. Then set the option and space shortcut. Set it up.
Use it tomorrow for one single thing. If you use Chrome every day, open the skills feature. Save one prompt. The one used most often.
Done. If you produce any kind of audio or video content, sign up for API access to Gemini 3.1 Flash GTS and generate one test audio clip this week. And if you're already on a Gemini subscription in the US, go to personal intelligence settings. Turn on Google Photos integration.
Use it to create one piece of content this week. Just one thing. Pick one this week. Because the compounding doesn't start.
You understand this. It starts when you actually do it. And the people who are building around these tools right now, Chrome skills, the Mac app, the TTS pipeline, they're not doing anything complicated. They're just picking one thing per week and building the habit.
That's literally all it takes. And if you want help building those habits with a step-by-step plan inside them and behind them, inside the Air Profit Boarding, we've built a 30-day roadmap around Gemini. Day by day. Chrome skills set up on day one.
Gemini app Mac workflows built by day three. Gemini TTS content pipelines live by the end of the week too. Google Photos personal intelligence set up for your brand. And every one of those steps comes with a daily tutorial video walking you through exactly how to do it.
Not in theory, but for your actual business. Plus you get four live coaching calls every week where you can bring your Gemini setup, ask questions, share your screen and get them reviewed live. And you can meet people already using these exact tools for lead generation, content and client work. There's also 2,800 members in the community right now.
A lot of them using Google Gemini daily. So you can compare notes. You can share what's working. You can find people in your industry and your city using the map who have already cracked the workflows you're trying to build.
And you get a prompt library preloaded with Gemini prompts ready to drop straight into Chrome skills and use immediately. So feel free to get that link in the comments description or go to the AIprofitboard.com. Thanks for watching.
