01What Hermes Agent OS Is and How It Works

Hermes Agent OS is an agent operating system that lets you build, connect, and run multiple AI agents to automate almost anything. You can think of it as a central control panel where different agents β€” like a news agent, a video agent, a lead generation agent β€” all work together.

Inside the system, you have Mission Control. It shows you all your agents and tools. You can plug in different AI models like Hermes, Claude, or local models.

The agents share context through something called the memory galaxy. This gives every agent the same background information automatically.

In this episode, Julian shows how he combines agents for SEO, email outreach, music, and video. The system uses a new feature called Mixture of Agents. This lets multiple models work on the same task at the same time.

The result is some of the best AI responses Julian says he has ever seen.

02Main Features of Hermes Agent OS

Hermes Agent OS comes with several built-in agents and systems. Here are the main ones covered in this episode:

  • Mixture of Agents β€” Lets multiple AI models work together on one task. You can see the results in a workspace panel. Julian shows it creating a full OS and a running game.
  • Hermes Oracle β€” Automatically pulls in the latest news every 24 hours. It refreshes daily so your agents always have current information.
  • SEO Pack β€” Includes keyword research, rank tracking, and content publishing. It can grab keywords from your Google Search Console and publish articles directly to your websites.
  • Lead Generation System β€” Manages emails, runs outreach campaigns, and generates leads in any niche.
  • Memory Galaxy β€” Gives all agents shared context from your Obsidian vault. It stores up to 3,000 memories.
  • Video Agent β€” Generates videos, including cinematic AI videos through Open Montage.
  • Music Agent β€” Creates music tracks.
  • Local Engine β€” Lets you run local models like Quifos 9B.

03How to Set Up Hermes Agent OS

Setting up Hermes Agent OS is straightforward. Julian says many members get it running in about 30 minutes. Follow these steps:

  1. Go to aiprofitboard.com and join the Air Profit Board community. You get access to the Agent OS file and daily video tutorials.
  2. Download the Agent OS installation file from the classroom section. It includes all the pre-built agents and the Mission Control dashboard.
  3. Install the CLI you prefer β€” Hermes, Claude, or another one. You can ask the setup agent to use a specific API or CLI, for example, "use Claude CLI instead of Hermes for the SEO section."
  4. If you want Obsidian memory integration, give the agent the local directory of your Obsidian vault. It will automatically update your notes daily.
  5. Optional: Set up free local models like Ollama with GLM 5.2 or Quifos. Make sure Ollama runs in the background and is updated to the latest version.
  6. Customize your agents. You can request custom builds through the agent request thread in the community β€” there is no limit.
  7. Test your setup. Use the Mixture of Agents feature to create something small, like a game or a blog post.

04How to Use Hermes Agent OS in Practice

Julian walks through several real uses of Hermes Agent OS during the episode. One example is using the SEO Pack to drive traffic. He shows three websites that went from zero to hundreds of clicks per day.

The system grabs keywords from Google Search Console, generates content, and publishes it directly to the site.

Another example is Obsidian memory integration. You tell the agent: "Every time you create content, personalize it to me using the data inside the Obsidian memory." The agent then adds your unique goals, frameworks, and case studies to the content. This makes your output stand out from generic AI content.

A third use is the Omni system for daily memory capture. It listens to your conversations and watches your work. Then it creates daily notes and syncs them to Obsidian.

You can see what Julian worked on β€” for example, "working on Goldie Bench, an AI model leaderboard." The system has 3,000 memories stored.

You can also use Mixture of Agents by entering a prompt in the panel. For instance, Julian shows it creating a full operating system and a running game. The results are stored in the workspace for later use.

05Results and Comparisons Shown in the Episode

Julian shares several results from using Hermes Agent OS. First, the three SEO websites he shows all grew from zero to hundreds of clicks per day. The traffic trajectory on each graph goes up steadily.

This shows the system works for real website growth.

Second, he compares Hermes Agent to OpenClaud. Julian started with OpenClaud in January 2024 but says it kept breaking. He spent more time fixing it than using it.

Since switching to Hermes Agent, he finds it "a lot smoother." Every update seems to work, and the new features like Mixture of Agents are, in his words, "absolutely amazing."

Third, he tests Ollama with GLM 5.2 and Claude code. A community member named Neil asked if it works. Julian runs the terminal command and confirms it works fine.

He recommends updating Ollama to the latest version and having it running in the background.

Finally, members share their results: Haki says the system is amazing, Rick set it up in 30 minutes, and Gil loves the weekly coaching. These testimonials show real people getting value from the Agent OS.

06Tips, Limits, and Mistakes to Avoid

Julian offers several practical tips to get the most out of Hermes Agent OS:

  • Use local models to save tokens. You can run the system for free using free APIs, free local models, or the CLIs you already have. Julian says there are three free ways to use it.
  • Tell agents to use your Obsidian memory every time they create content. That way your content has information gain β€” it is unique to you based on your goals and past work.
  • If a local model stops working, check that Ollama (or your model runner) is running in the background and updated. Then ask Claude or Hermes to fix the issue automatically.
  • Customize freely. If you do not use a certain agent, hide it in the settings. If you prefer a different API for a task, just tell the setup agent to use that instead.
  • Be aware that Omni is not free. There is a free alternative on GitHub that does the same thing locally. Julian says it is not as smooth, but it works.

07Who Hermes Agent OS Is For and Why It Matters

Hermes Agent OS is for anyone who wants to automate tasks with multiple AI agents working together. It is useful for solopreneurs, small teams, and content creators who need to handle SEO, lead generation, video creation, and memory management.

It matters because it saves time. Instead of using separate tools for each task, you have one system where all agents share context and cooperate. Julian mentions that members like Raisa call it "one of the best trainers out there for AI."

The system also solves the problem of shiny object syndrome. People often jump from tool to tool without finishing projects. Julian built a feature where you drop an idea, and the agents build it for you.

Then everything is stored in one place.

If you are already using AI tools like Claude or Hermes, the Agent OS takes your work to the next level by making all your agents work as a team.
