NEW Claude Opus 4.7 LEAKS!

Claude Opus 4.7 is dropping this week and the information just broke the full story before Anthropic could actually say a word. The information is not a random blog, it's one of the most credible tech publications in Silicon Valley. So when they say something is imminent, it actually happens. And what they've published today is a full breakdown of what Anthropic is about to ship to products, possibly live before the week is out.

So let's go through exactly what's leaked, what it means and why this one is bigger than a normal model update. Number one, first the model itself. So Claude Opus 4.7, the upgrade to the most powerful version of Claude that actual regular people can actually use. Now, here's something a lot of people have noticed over the last few weeks.

Opus 4.6 has felt slower. It's felt weaker. Users on Reddit and X have been posting about it constantly. They've been saying it feels dumber than it did at launch.

And they're right. This is a pattern Anthropic uses every single cycle there's a new release about to drop. They quietly pull compute away from the old model in the weeks before a new launch. It happened before 4.6, it's happening again right now with 4.7.

And the timing confirms it as well. So Opus 4.5 launched November 24th, 2025. Opus 4.6 launched February the 5th, 2026. And that was 73 days later, right?

Today is April the 15th. That's 68 days since 4.6 dropped. We're sitting inside the exact same launch window. The code leak from Claude Code Source already confirmed that Opus 4.7 and Sonic 4.8 both exist in the code base.

This is not speculation. The model itself is built. It's coming. And based on what the community is saying, Opus 4.7 is essentially Opus 4.6 without artificial throttling.

The version you've been using for the last few weeks is probably not Opus 4.6 at full strength. The day it drops, that changes. So the first thing you do when it goes live, run your hardest tasks immediately. You know, the first 48 to 72 hours after any Claude launch always the best.

That's when it runs hot before any adjustments kicked in. Now, here's the part most people are sleeping on. Opus 4.7 is not the only thing dropping this week from Claude. Xanthropic is launching a brand new design tool at the same time.

And this one is going to hurt some startups, right? The tool is prompt-based, so you can type what you want. It builds it, websites, landing pages, presentations, for working products, no code, no design skills required. Just describe what you want in plain English and it'll build it.

Now, the information described it as targeting both technical and non-technical users, meaning this is not a developer tool, right? It's for everyone. It's basically how you can create one-click apps, tools, games, whatever you want. Think about what that does to the market right now, because Gamma, for example, Gamma raised money to build AI-powered presentations.

Google built Stitch for AI design. Lovable built a whole company around AI tools and AI websites. And Anthropic just made all of those a feature inside Claude. Not a competitive product, a feature.

Just a little add-on, right? The same way AWS made cloud hosting startups irrelevant. The same way Stripe made payment startups irrelevant too. The platform decided to own the layout and the startups are now in the way.

It's so powerful that they're only allowing a handful of trusted enterprise partners to test it specifically for security work. What Miphos apparently found in testing zero-day vulnerabilities, for example, in every major operating system and every major browser. Zero-day, by the way, it means a security flaw that nobody knew existed. No patch, no fix, right?

The company whose software it is didn't even know about it. Miphos found these across the board, across all the software they tested, right? Now, this has been reported from sources close to Anthropic and Anthropic has as well released a scorecard outlining what Miphos is, etc. And the information sourcing on this has been quite reliable too.

Plus, the framing makes sense, right? You don't open a model like that to the public. You use it for controlled security research whilst you figure out what to do with it. And what it tells us is that Opus 4.7, the model we're actually getting this week, is not Anthropic's ceiling, right?

It's a consumer-ready version. Miphos actually sits above it. And at some point, whatever Anthropic learns from Miphos gets folded into future releases. That's the trajectory.

Opus 4.7 is not the finish line. It's just the next step. Now, let's talk about Claude Code because Anthropic also just completely rebuilt it. And this matters for anyone running any kind of business, not just developers.

The rebuild added four things that change how you work. Multiple Claude sessions running at the same time. You can have one Claude reviewing content whilst another handles something else entirely with parallel work and no waiting. A built-in file editor and terminal inside Claude Code itself.

Before this, you'd have to jump between apps. Now, it's all in one single place. And a diff viewer that shows you exactly what's changed, which is clear, visual, instant, and SSH support, which lets Claude connect directly to remote servers. For anyone running websites or tools on a server, this means Claude can work on the actual live environment.

But the biggest addition is routines. And this is where it gets practical for anyone running a business. So routines lets Claude work automatically on a schedule, on a trigger, or in the background, even when your computer is off. It runs on Anthropic's Claude.

And you've got three types. You've got scheduled routines that run on a time that you set every morning, for example, every night, every week. You can trigger routines that fire when something specific happens, like, for example, when a new lead fills out a form or a new email comes in. And GitHub routines activate when code is updated.

Pro users get five automated runs per day. Max users get 15. And Teams and Enterprise get 25. What that looks like in practice for a business owner is you can basically set up a routine that checks your inbox every morning and drafts replies to leads.

You set up one that monitors your website and flags any issues. You set up one that takes your weekly data and writes a summary report before you even wake up. Claude is running in the background whilst you sleep. Not hypothetically, it's working right now.

You can go and check this out on the latest version of Claude Desktop, and you can get access to routines right now. The shift here is real. For the last two years, AI tools worked when you opened them. You had to be there prompting them, watching them.

Routines flips out, and Claude becomes something that's working for your business on its own schedule, right? Not just when you remember to ask it something. For a freelancer, for example, let's say you're juggling five clients. This means work that used to take two hours of manual checking in the morning gets done overnight.

Your first task when you open your laptop is reviewing what Claude already handled, not starting from zero. And here's what all of this adds up to. Anthropic is not just releasing a better model this week. They're releasing a design tool that competes with entire software categories.

They've rebuilt their coding product to run automatically in the background. And sitting above all of that, they have a model called Miphos that isn't available to the public yet. One that's already demonstrating capabilities that the security industry has never seen before. Opus 4.6 with the throttle on felt like a step back.

Opus 4.7 with the throttle off, plus a built in design tool, plus routines running in the background. That's a different project, a different project, and probably one of the most powerful things we've ever seen, right? Claude is already favored by most people around the world. And with this new upgrade, it could change everything for everyone, right?

The people who move fast in the first week after a launch like this, you know, testing everything immediately, finding the best use cases, building the best workflows. These are the ones who are going to get the edge before everyone catches up. So here's what to do with this right now. Go to Claude.

And I would check this out later this week. I would first of all, download the desktop version, check out routines. That's amazing. And also just watch out for the Opus 4.7 drop, right?

It's not released yet, but it will be coming soon. And then look for the new design tool that will be coming out soon, because that'll be pretty awesome too, if you can build your own apps and tools from scratch inside something like Claude. And also I'd recommend just setting up a new routine, you know, set up one automated workflow this week, even something simple, like a daily check-in on something that normally takes you time, and just get comfortable with it now, before the next release. Because Miphos is still coming, SONNET 4.8 is in the code base, and the pace of all of this is not slowing down.
