The script covers NotebookLM’s new feature for generating 60-second vertical short video overviews, now rolling out to Google AI Ultra and Pro subscribers and expected to reach free users soon. The creator demonstrates examples and explains that each video is generated from a specific NotebookLM notebook’s research, producing AI images, voiceover, and editing in a hands-off workflow, especially when connected via MCP to an agent operating system. They compare the short-video outputs with longer NotebookLM videos (more slideshow-like) and with alternatives like Open Montage (more cinematic) and a separate Video Agent (preferred for educational videos). Despite video quality being below human-made content, they highlight NotebookLM’s strength as a research-and-learning tool and its one-click outputs (audio, videos, slide decks, mind maps, infographics, flashcards, quizzes, tables, reports). The episode ends by promoting the AI Profit Boardroom for setup guides, trainings, and coaching.

we have a brand new update from notebook LM for short video overviews so this is basically a way that you can generate short videos with notebook LM we've already plugged it into our asian operating system and i'll show you exactly how this works in a second bear in mind it's rolling out right now to google ai ultra and pro subscribers but just to be 100 clear here it's going to be coming to free users soon so you can see that it'll be coming to free users soon this is always the way that notebook LM rolls out they roll out new features to the premium members first and then it comes out to other members second now if you're wondering what does it look like what's the quality like etc let me show you a couple of examples right here so basically what these are is 60 second vertical videos right so they're designed for you know like social media for example like quick short videos and the good thing about this is previously you only really had a choice of using longer videos which would take longer to generate and also like if you wanted these style videos where they're portrait and vertical you didn't previously have that so this is what's new with this new update so if we have a look at this video for example we'll play them both side by side to be fair these are a couple of examples we've made and you can see here that the whole video was put together with notebook lamp let me show you some more inside our agent operating system so what we actually did here is we have plugged in notebook lm as an mcp into our agent operating system because i think that's like a much nicer way to use it now if we want to see the new short videos that we've created once we select a relevant notebook so bear in mind like each video is related to an individual notebook custom trained on a specific topic then we can play the video itself as you can see right here and it's not bad at all it does have sound over the top as well bear in mind so it has a voiceover and then what it's doing is basically it's creating images and then putting them all together inside the video so it's fully ai generated fully hands off as well and then the video itself is created with ai and bear in mind this is coming to free users as well so you can now generate vertical ai videos using notebook lm for free and it's all based on the automated research that notebook lm does as well so it's a pretty powerful and useful system as you can see and also has um all of this put together so it's kind of like you've got a video team but in one because the script the research the generation of the video the editing the voiceover is all plugged together inside one system now what i will say is when i look at this video i'm like well is it as good as human video no of course not is it as interesting as a human video or like a video you create yourself not really i mean for example if we put this side by side so this is the notebook lm setup that we've got we've actually plugged in something called open montage which is an amazing amazing way of creating like film style videos and if we compare that short style video here versus the outputs from open montage these are way nicer right like these look absolutely especially this one and this one these two look amazing right so if i had a choice between using notebook lm or using open montage for generating these videos i probably go with open montage honestly i think like it's a better style but bear in mind these are educational videos so they're more based on the research you plugged into your notebook so for example we have all these different notebooks like one on you know let's say for example meta by multbook we've got aiso agent os over here mastering notebook etc these are all custom trained pieces of research that we've created with notebook lm and so when we generate a video that's based on the research whereas for example if you create a film like this it's more cinematic it's more interesting to watch but it's not going to be that educational so bear in mind as well if you're creating educational content then you'd go with notebook lm if you're just interested in films or something that's a bit more visual and beautiful but not that educational then you'd go with something like open montage that's the difference between them also got something else that i think maybe might be might be more interesting or better so we actually have a video agent and this is like an educational video as you can see and basically the b-roll the ai avatar the voiceover the editing is all put together in one single prompt and i think honestly if i had a choice between this system and notebook lm for educational videos i would go with this but if you want to use and generate in the future free short videos then you can use notebook lm as well the other benefit of using notebook lm of course is that you can do research as well so you can do deep dives into the notebooks you use you can create notebooks and new research about any topic that you choose everything is linked with an mcp so you can plug it into your agent os as well and then also you can generate at literally like one click of a button audio overviews videos slide decks mind maps infographics flashcards quizzes data tables and reports using notebook lm with just like one click as well and i think that is pretty powerful so the videos themselves wouldn't say they're that great but when you combine it with the whole system and what you can do for free with notebook lm is actually it's pretty unbelievable and then what we actually have here is a system where we can plug in all of the stuff we've created with notebook lm so for example if you look at this we've got like this beautiful infographic that we created with notebook lm we've got like really detailed research reports we have for example podcasts and video audio views and then we have like the videos themselves now actually one thing to note here as well is that if you look at the videos directly from notebook lm so these are the long form videos that you can generate with notebook lm i would say these kind of feel more like a slideshow presentation right whereas for example if you look at the outputs from the shorts they're more kind of like a bit more animated a bit more interesting so it depends what you prefer to use i also think these look a lot cleaner though when you look at the video themselves it's just a bit boring to watch and i don't see like many videos like this doing well on on social media honestly whereas i think this style might do better but at the same time i would still go with the video agent or open montage for creating like you know really interesting pieces of content so it depends what you want and the cool thing about this is what another use case of this is that if you're creating for example short videos or research with notebook lm is like it's just great for learning like it is an amazing learning tool if i was starting to learn a language from scratch this is the system i would use or if i was trying to take a complicated topic and break it down step by step i would use notebook lm it's pretty good for that so overall pretty powerful system especially when you plug it into something like the agent operating system where we can also for example take the outputs from notebook lm and then plug it into our memory and then we give our memory more context as well the other thing i would say here is obviously it's a lot faster than like editing shorts yourself or editing short videos so you know if you were looking at creating a short video like two or three years ago well you'd have to script record and edit everything by hand might take you like half a day of video you have to do a lot of research and your reach basically stalls because you can't keep up with everything that would be the old way but the new way with something like notebook lm is that you drop in the sources you get a 60 second vertical video with ai back you can turn every piece of research you have into a short video and then you can plug them into your agent operating system so that hermes or whatever can create videos whenever you want for free using the system now some people want to watch this and they might be like well is it free or is it not free so it's coming to free users in the future you might also say okay why would you want to generate short videos well it's just good for learning and also good for social media and that sort of thing additionally you might say which one is the best system to use is it notebook lm or is it open open montage or is it the video agent for generating videos personally for me i would go with the video agent first then open montage and then notebook for generating videos themselves but if i had to pick between all these systems for research then i would go with notebook then i would go with notebook lm so that's what i'd recommend for you too so if you want to start using this whole system as basically like a content factory everything that i've shown you today the notebook lm automations the video agent open montage all of the playbooks we've plugged into the agent operating system you also get a step-by-step setup guide you get the exact notebook lm and agent os wiring from what i've shown you today you get four
