Omniroute + Awesome LLM Apps = FREE AI Apps!

Today, I want to show you one of the most powerful GitHubs I've seen recently, which allows you to build 100 apps in a single click. It's called Awesome LLM Apps. It's a GitHub open source trending project, 121,000 stars already. And you can use it with Cloud, Gemlite, GPT, whatever you want.

And basically what you get with this is 100 open source AI agents, agent skills and RAG apps. They're all hand built already, and you can use these to create whatever you want. So you can see some examples right here of the apps that it's built. So we've got like the self-improvement agent skills app.

And what this essentially does is like, you can give your coding agent a new app building skill in one single click. Really, really cool. And you see all the starter agents you can create examples. I've actually tested it out and built it into our agent operating system.

So you can see an example right here, we have the app lab. And what we can do with the app lab is that we can basically build out some apps, like for example, this AI travel planner. We type in, where do we want to go? And then we can generate an itinerary like so.

So we just enter this in, hit generate itinerary, and then it will build out our travel plan in one single click. How does it know how to create this? Because we've trained it using the awesome LLM apps setup, right? And the beautiful thing about this is these apps are ready to go.

Plus you can use these skills to make better apps in the future with a similar process. So this is something that I call the app lab system. And awesome LLM apps is basically like the internet's biggest open catalog of AI agents, rag apps, multi-agent teams. So we've added it into the agent OS as an app lab tab.

And you can build this with free cloud models as well. So we actually rebuilt three of his apps to run on free cloud models, which means like you don't even need to pay for the apps when you're building them and you're basically like a crazy scientist building out all these cool apps as well. And every app in that catalog, you can build out in like one single click. Now you might also wonder, okay, what is an app lab?

So basically it's a small program, usually like one Python file that wraps an AI model, a purpose-built screen. So you've got all of these different models being built out. And the model's the engine, the app is the CMU. Another cool thing that we built over here, for example, is mixture of agents.

So we can have like, basically if you've seen Fusion or Hermes mixture of agents, where you have agents working together to build apps. And the idea is that if you have agents thinking and working together, you tend to get better outputs than one frontier model that's really powerful, but working alone. And so you can build that out using this system as well. And that was available in like one single click.

So the catalog is really like the recipe book. That's what you want to think about this as. Now there's some really interesting workflows in here as well. So these are AI driven and AI powered apps as well.

So it's not just like, for example, you build a habit tracker app where it runs on code. These are AI powered. So for example, like a research agent, or you've got, for example, a mixture of agents agent. You have a data analysis agent.

So these are all AI powered apps. And then you have advanced AI agents. So if you ever thought, okay, I really want to build an app, but I don't know how, this is a great place to start this, even like an AI chess agent, where you can have agents playing chess together in these autonomous game playing agent apps as well. And then we have the MCP agents as well, and a bunch of rag stuff as well.

So what this does, it takes a rag, it's like it retrieves from pipelines and then it uses that to train the agent on your knowledge base as well. Even little things like, for example, you, you can chat with your Gmail, you can chat with Substack, you have all these different apps built into one place. So if you want to get this set up with one of your agents, you can just grab the URL like so, and then you can go over to Claude, for example, and you can say install this plus build out, and you would just tell it whatever agent you want to build out into. So what you can actually do with this is like, if you see an app on the list and you're like, do you know what, that would be really useful for my systems, maybe your agent operating dashboard, et cetera, then you can just specifically tell it which one you want to build in and then go from there.

So if we have a look, for example, at this deep research agent, we can get the GitHub like so, go over to Claude, say, okay, install this into my agent OS and build out as a new tab, the deep research agent, and that'll actually just build it out for you. How do I know? Because we've tested out already with these three apps that were built into the system here. So we've got, for example, the travel itinerary that it's given us for Italy.

And we literally just typed in where we want to go, how many days we're going to travel for, and then it's given us a step-by-step daily roadmap. And then we can actually get that as a calendar and plug that into our calendar as an event for each of those days that we travel. It's pretty unbelievable. And that worked like straight away, first time round.

We have other options. So if we go to the pre-mixture of agents set up here, we can ask the panel anything and it will have a pre-mixture of agents, kind of like Fusion, where we have models of agents working together as a council. And then there's also, there's even this run chat with anywhere page. So what this means is like I could plug in my website and actually talk to it directly through this app as well.

And all of these work really smoothly, which is fantastic. Now we actually built those out with free APIs too. The great thing about that is that this is an open source project, and then we can use free APIs to build out the projects and then it doesn't cost us anything. So how can you do that?

Well, what you can actually do is use OmniRoot and OmniRoot allows you to build out for free. So you can basically use this as your AI coding agent to run the apps and build the apps. And that way you can get the recipes for building the apps from here, and then you plug them into OmniRoot and OmniRoot can code them out for you. We actually have inside our agent operating system, Codex with OmniRoot plugged in because it's really good at coding.

And we also have OmniRoot code over here where we can type in the chat what we want to build. For example, like this habit tracker, and then we can preview over here and everything that we create is saved into our workspace as well. And that way everything is free. You also might say, well, aren't free models too weak for real apps, but you saw a second ago, the app lab with the travel itinerary, the travel planner built in, and that worked really well.

The outputs from that were very good. So you can actually build pretty cool stuff. A lot of people say, well, I can't code. Can I still create apps using this system?

Absolutely you can, because literally all you're doing is getting that skill, giving it to your agent, and then you can actually build out the projects and then you can actually give it to your agent. Your agent handles all the technical work. We're at the point where you don't need to prompt, so you don't need to be technical with your agents anymore. You can just give it the recipes.

And then also you might say, well, why not use chatGPT for all of this? So the problem is that if you don't have a good recipe for an app, then you spend a lot of time building it, testing it, planning it, iterating it, and that can consume energy. That can be like a three hour job for some people watching this. So instead you have the recipes ready to go.

They're free. And then you can build out free models and then you get apps that are ready to go and they're free to build. So that's basically it. That's the whole system.
