Kimi K2.6 + Hermes AI Agent is INSANE!

Today, I'm going to show you how to use the new model KimiK 2.6 for free directly with Hermes Agent. And this is a one-click simple setup that will save you a lot of time. You can easily start using it today. So I'm going to show you exactly how this works.

Basically, you can go over to Olama. If you've never installed it, then you just install it using this terminal command, right? So for example, if we copy this command, like this, copy this, then we'll go over to our terminal, open up a new chat. This is going to set up Olama inside our terminal, right?

Even if you've already got Olama already set up, I would recommend updating just to get the latest models. And then once you've done that, you can go over to KimiK 2.6, right? If you just want to use this for free, you can just run it like so, right? Just make sure you stick within the token limits for cloud-based models, right?

So this is KimiK 2.6 Cloud, and this is a cloud-based model, which means that you can use it for free as long as you stick within the token limits, right? Now, from here, you can now start using this with OpenClaw, with Cloud Code, and also Hermes, right? So the way that you would do that is, let's say, for example, you want to use this with Hermes. Well, what you would do is you're going to use this, Olama launch Hermes, right?

So you paste that in, and then you can select between your models, as you can see, and then you would select KimiK 2.6 Cloud, right? It will give you a list of recommended models, and KimiK 2.5 Cloud is at the top of there. You've got Quen, you've got GLM 5.1, et cetera. But the one that you want to use with Hermes, because it's designed for agented tasks, they even mention it on their website, is KimiK 2.6 Cloud, right?

Now, if we click on Proceed with this, boom. We now have Olama, KimiK 2.6, and Hermes all working together in one single click, using the latest version of Hermes Agent, and this is all running for free, as long as we stick within the token limits. If you, you know, if you find yourself, like, needing to use a lot of tokens, you can always switch to a local model, for example, like Gemma 4, that's a local model. Or you could just use Gemma 4 on Olama, or sub-agents, and you have KimiK 2.6 Cloud as the main brain of the operation, right?

And that way you don't use too many credits as well. So that's basically how it's set up, how to use it, how to quickly get access to it. And then if we say, okay, are you working? We'll just check that's working here.

And that's basically how you can use it inside here. Now, if you want to run this with OpenClaw or anything else, you can just use these commands, right? So if we go to a new chat here, and we say, Olama launch OpenClaw, KimiK 2.6 Cloud, we'll start the gateway, and now, boom. We have this running, right?

And we just need to take that URL, let's open that up, and now we can use KimiK 2.6 inside OpenClaw. And if we want to use it inside Cloud Code as well, we can with this command. So you can see now we have Cloud Code running with KimiK 2.6 as well. And these are all like one-click setups.

Even like Codex or OpenCode, you can now run with KimiK 2.6, right? So it's an open-source model from China that allows you to run agents for free using Olama in one single click. Really powerful. It's also designed for long-horizon coding tasks.

So this is great with KimiK 2.6 and Cloud Code, because basically, it's more autonomous, right? It's designed for just working and doing its own thing, which is pretty cool. You see how it performs on the benchmarks here. So this is actually a comparison versus Opus 4.6, not 4.7.

But you can see that, for example, on Humanities last exam with tools, KimiK won out of everyone, right? So it's a really powerful tool, and you can easily start using it. I honestly have tested it versus using something like Cloud Code. I've tested them side-by-side.

I would genuinely say like Cloud is still better. But if you like a free alternative that you can start using straight away, then this is a good option. So it can, for example, like research web. It can create content for you. It can do coding and technical work. It can automate stuff for you.

It can do scheduled tasks. And it's also a lot smoother than using something like OpenCore in my experience, right? And you can set up scheduled tasks, aka cron jobs, with this. So it just runs autonomously in the background 24-7.
