Today, I'm going to show you how to use Kimi K2.6 with Olama. We'll be testing out together and OpenCore. So the way that you can set this up is number one, you would use the one click setup here. So you make sure you grab this, plug it into your terminal, and then from there, you can install an update to the latest version of Olama.

Once you've done that, you're then going to go to models, right? Inside models, you look for Kimi K2.6. And bear in mind, this is an open source agentic model. So it's designed for this sort of stuff.

And once you've done that, you can either pull in the model directly, or you can just run this with OpenCore like that. And what I'll do is start the gateway, as you can see right here. And if we open that up, we can now go to OpenCore and just check this is running and you can see, yeah, it's working straight away, right? So that's how you can use this with OpenCore.

It's pretty good when I've tested out Kimi K2.6 with OpenCore. Let's just try something out here. If we say, okay, research the web for the latest AI news today. Just see if it can do that.

Okay. And you can see it replies very, very quickly, right? And it comes back with the latest news here. So it's come up with like three news releases.

Also, like it's pretty straight to the point and responds quite nicely. It doesn't sound like super robotic, which is great. And you can also see it's connected to the gateway directly here. So this is super easy to set up, works straight away.

Now with Kimi K2.6, it's free as long as you use and stick within the token limits. If you need to use this a lot, then I would recommend just using Gema4 instead. Gema4 is a lot easier. So you can go to Gema4 over here and use that with Olama instead.

If you need to use it a lot, right? Bear in mind, Gema is a local model. It's not a cloud model, which means you get unlimited usage if you're running it locally, whereas with Kimi K2.6, it's a cloud model, right? Which means it's running from the cloud and there's limited amounts, unless you're on like the Olama upgraded plan.

That's basically how it works. Now you see here, it works pretty well on agentic tasks. That's what it's really designed for. You can always use it with open code, with codex, with poor code, et cetera, but super easy to set up with OpenClaw directly.

And you can see that it actually works over here too. So pretty nice setup. We can also update to the latest version. Let's just check that works.

And bear in mind, like with Kimi, it's designed to be an agentic model. So if we go over to their blog, for example, literally it does mention OpenClaw and Hermes specifically, as you can see right here. Now, if you want to run this with Hermes as well, you can just do this command right here. So basically recently they've installed Hermes with Olama, which means that it runs pretty well together.

And then you just run Olama launch Hermes inside your terminal and you'll launch Olama with Hermes. And from there on the setup, you can just select Kimi K2.6. By the way, it's pretty easy to set up. Now, another option that you have is you can also go to Atomic Chat and inside Atomic Chat, if you go to AI models, API keys, right, you've got Kimi K2.6 cloud available right there.

Right. And this is basically an easy way to use OpenClaw as well. So you see, the good thing about this is like you don't need to use your terminal, but you can still use it with Olama. So what you would do is get an API key from Olama, select Olama in the local model section.

Then you're going to select your models, Kimi K2.6 cloud, hit save on that. And then if we go to the dashboard, go to the chat, you can use the local models directly. Right. So you just go to AI models, chat here, plug in your API key from Olama.

And if you want to get your API key, let me show you how to do that. So you would just go to settings, keys and then grab it from here. So if we go back to Atomic here, plug in the key, hit save. That's connected now.

Right. So we've got Kimi K2.6 selected on Atomic Chat, on local, hit save. Then we go to the dashboard, chat here, select Kimi K2.6 cloud Olama, and then you can start sending messages here. And there you can see it's working.

Right. So we said working and said, yes, I'm here. What's up? If we just do a test run.

So we're going to grab, let's just say, OK, just check what happened today in AI automation. So it's got it's got the web tool set up. The thing I like about Atomic Chat is like, number one, you get this nice little UI. Right.

So it's super easy to use. Number two, you get a big selection of different models, including Kimi K2.6 cloud. And number three, like it's all set up and it's all like cleanly set up here. Whereas, for example, if you're using the terminal, like most people are not technical enough to use the terminal, which means they don't really know what they're doing.

And so that makes everything harder. Right. Whereas you can use Atomic Chat here and it's just way easier. It has all the same tools and it's all the same setup.

Right. Super simple and easy. Plus, you can easily switch models using the drop down. So that's basically how it works.

Step by step how to use Olama and Kimi K2.6 with OpenCLR, super easy to set up. You see how it quickly gathers new information here. We can use tools. It's pretty useful.

It's a great API to use. It's designed to be agentic. And that was an easy setup. So if you want to get more training on stuff like this, feel free to get the AI Profit Boarding.
