01What Muse Wonder vs Opus 5.5 Means

The Muse Wonder vs Opus 5.5 comparison shows two AI coding and design models side by side. Muse Wonder is Meta's new model that just launched. Opus 5.5 Max is Claude's model.

Benchmarks make Muse Wonder look stronger. But real world tests show a different story.

In this episode, Julian Goldie tested both models. He built the same projects with each. He looked at design quality and how reliable the first try was.

He used one-shot prompts to see how good each model was right away.

02Main Features and What's New in Muse Wonder

Muse Wonder has several new features. It is designed for agentic coding and long-running agents. It can work inside Muse Code, Meta's coding environment.

It also connects to a memory system that syncs across all your AI tools.

  • Agentic coding – It can write code for you step by step.
  • Long-running agents – It can handle tasks that take a while.
  • Memory system – It remembers past conversations and projects.
  • Workspace saving – You can save builds directly to your workspace.
  • Fast performance – Julian said Muse Wonder is pretty fast.

03How to Set Up Muse Wonder with an Agentic OS

The best way to use Muse Wonder is inside an agentic operating system. Julian showed how to plug it into Muse Code alongside other models. Here are the steps to get started:

  1. Get Muse Code – Download or open the Muse Code environment.
  2. Plug in Muse Wonder – Add the Muse Wonder API to your agentic system.
  3. Add other models – You can also add Claude or Hermes for easy switching.
  4. Connect the memory system – Link your memory galaxy so Muse Wonder remembers your work.
  5. Save your workspace – Any build goes straight into your workspace folder.
  6. Start building – Give a prompt and see what Muse Wonder creates.

04How to Use Muse Wonder: Examples from the Episode

Julian built several projects with Muse Wonder. He showed them side by side with Opus 5.5. The first project was a to-do list app.

The app looked cool but felt a bit retro. It was not as smooth as what Opus 5.5 made.

The second project was Skywood Isles, a floating islands simulation. Both models took some back and forth to get it right. Muse Wonder's version had more detail and was more interesting.

But it also had glitches. For example, you could not see the character when he went into a tree.

The third project was Planet Forge, a 3D world simulation. You could zoom in and out. It looked cool but the details were not great when you examined them closely.

Julian said it was fun to play with but not super impressive.

05Results and Comparisons: Muse Wonder vs Opus 5.5

Julian compared the two models directly. He used one-shot prompts for both. For a design test, Muse Wonder failed the first time.

Opus 5.5 worked on the first try. Julian said Opus 5.5 is more reliable for first-shot results.

He also compared a character walking scene. Muse Wonder's first attempt was glitchy. The lights were weird.

Opus 5.5's first attempt was much better. The character could even moonwalk. Julian said Opus 5.5 is honestly more reliable.

On benchmarks, Muse Wonder crushes Opus 5.5. But Julian said in reality, it is not better. He would not switch from Astra 6 or Opus 5.5 to Muse Wonder.

06Tips, Limits, and Mistakes to Avoid

  • Uses too many tokens – Muse Wonder can run out of tokens quickly on long plans. Julian did not have this problem, but he heard others did.
  • Not the best for first tries – You may need several attempts to get good results. Opus 5.5 often works on the first try.
  • Better inside an agentic system – Using Muse Wonder alone is not as good. Pair it with other models like Claude or Hermes.
  • Details can be bad – When you zoom in on 3D creations, the details are not great.
  • Muse agent is not available everywhere – If you want to use Muse agent, check if it is in your region.
  • Do not rely on benchmarks – Real world performance is very different from what benchmarks show.

07Who Muse Wonder Is For and Why It Matters

Muse Wonder is for people who want a fast, fun AI model to build simple apps and simulations. It is good for testing ideas quickly. It works best inside an agentic operating system where you can switch between models.

It matters because it shows that a model can look great on paper but not in real use. Julian thinks Muse Wonder will shine when it plugs into Muse agent. Right now, he prefers Hermes or Claude Code for serious agentic work.

If you want to build cool stuff for cheap, Muse Wonder is a solid choice.
