NEW Claude Mythos + GPT 5.5 LEAKS!

Claude Mythos & GPT-5.5 Leaks: Unreleased Frontier Models Exposed in the Same WeekThe script covers two major AI leaks happening in the same week: Anthropic’s unreleased Claude Mythos (also referenced as MFO), described as so powerful at finding software bugs and zero-day vulnerabilities that Anthropic said it was too dangerous to release publicly, and OpenAI’s apparent GPT-5.5 leak via a Codex UI model picker. It recounts how a CMS misconfiguration previously exposed documents about Mythos, then describes a Bloomberg-reported incident where a private Discord group allegedly gained access by guessing model endpoint names and using third-party contractor credentials, prompting Anthropic to investigate. Separately, Codex users reportedly saw at least eight internal OpenAI model names (including GPT 5.5, OAI 2.1, Arcanine, Glassier Alpha variants, Heisenberg, and GPT Rosalyn), with some developers briefly testing GPT-5.5 and describing it as faster and more token efficient.00:00 Two Major Model Leaks00:27 Claude Mythos Exposed00:51 Why Mythos Is Dangerous02:00 Discord Access Breach03:23 What It Means For You04:20 OpenAI Codex Model List05:39 GPT 5.5 First Impressions07:24 Mystery Models Explained08:04 Industry Moving Too Fast09:13 Predictions And Wrap Up09:39 Community And Final Thanks

Claude Mythos and ChachiPT515 have both been leaked this week. Two of the most powerful AR models ever built just got leaked in the same week and one of them was never supposed to have ever been seen by the public like ever. So let me walk you through exactly what just happened because this is one of those weeks where you look back in six months from now and you go that was a week everything shifted so let's start with Claude Mythos. To recap, back on March the 26th security researcher found something wild.

They found Anthropic, the company behind Claude, had a misconfiguration in their content management system. Simple set in error, left tons of stuff exposed and inside one of those documents was Claude Mythos and that was far more powerful than Claude Opus or any sort of model, brand new tier, etc. Just recapping on that. Now here's where it gets really interesting and this is what spooked a lot of people so far.

So Mythos and Claude Anthropic literally just came out, you know, a couple of weeks ago and they said the model is so far ahead that we can't release it to the public, right? It's faster at exposing and finding software bugs than any human alive. It's more powerful than anything we've found. We're talking about zero-day vulnerabilities, right?

Flaws in software that nobody knows about yet. The kind of stuff that governments pay millions for and Anthropic actually found during their own internal testing that Mythos were finding like thousands of flaws in Windows and Mac and Linux and Chrome and Firefox, everything, right? And so something new has just been announced literally today that's even crazier, right? Because it's been locked down.

This shouldn't go to anyone else apart from especially cyber security firms, some of the biggest in the world, right? Apple, Google, all that sort of thing, right? But someone has actually just got access to it today. And now that you know the power of this model, let's talk about what just happened.

So on the same day that Anthropic announced Project Glasswing, April 7th, a small group of people on a private Discord server figured out how to get access to Claude Mythos. They guessed the URL, they knew how Anthropic names their model endpoints because they'd studied the naming patterns from previous Claude models, and they used credentials connected to a third-party contractor who works with Anthropic. Bloomberg have just broken the story, like it's brand new news. This is literally, most people have not even heard about this yet, this new leak.

And the group gave them screenshots and even did a live demo of Claude Mythos just to prove they had access, right? Now Anthropic have confirmed they're investigating. They said there's no evidence to touch their course yet, so they're no evidence to touch their core systems. But the fact remains, a Discord group guessed their way into the most restricted AI model on the planet, a model that Anthropic themselves said it was too dangerous to release publicly.

And the group reportedly said they weren't trying to cause any harm here, right? They were just literally curious, they just wanted to play with this model, with unreleased models. And that's the whole point, right? If a group of curious people who are not even that interested in the model, they just wanted to check it out, on Discord can get into this.

What happens when someone with real resources and real intention tries? Now here's the thing, if you're watching this and you're thinking, okay, this is interesting, but what does it mean for me? Well, let me connect the dots for you, because this isn't just about cybersecurity researchers and tech companies. What Mythos proves is that AI capabilities jump in in huge, huge steps, right?

We're talking about finding zero-day bugs, we're talking about, you know, finding bugs in Microsoft, Windows, and everywhere else. We're talking about the most powerful model in the world, too powerful to release, and just a random bunch of people on Discord got access by guessing the name. Now let's talk about the other half of the story here, because whilst Anthropic was dealing with the Mythos situation, they have confirmed, like they're investigating it right now, it's been confirmed, number one, by Bloomberg, who saw a demo of it, and number two, by Anthropic, who themselves said they're investigating the leak of the model. Let's talk about the other half of the story, because whilst Anthropic was dealing with this Mythos situation, OpenAI had their own leak happening at the same time.

So on April 22nd, you know, literally as I'm recording this, some Codex users on Pro accounts opened the model picker dropdown, and they saw something that they weren't supposed to see, which was a list of unreleased models, internal names that OpenAI had never mentioned publicly, right? Here's what showed up. GPT 5.5 described as the latest frontier agentic coding model. Then there was something else that I've never heard of, which is OAI 2.1.

Some description, right? Same description, latest frontier agentic coding model, but with a completely different naming convention. Then a model called Arcanine, which OpenAI described as a frontier model with a legendary appetite for starches. Obviously, they're having fun with the descriptions.

Then there was Glacier Alpha, described as intelligence that moves continents, and two variants called Glacier Alpha Block CY3 and CY4, both described as ice-cold intelligence, plus two more that showed up. Heisenberg, labeled as a frontier model for life science research, and GPT-Ruslin. Now, that's at least eight models. Two of those models were officially announced recently with the science and the research stuff, and the big one, GPT 5.5, was actually accessible for a short time.

Some developers managed to fire off prompts before OpenAI pulled the plug on it, and the feedback was actually immediate. One developer said that GPT 5.5 fixed the problem in about three minutes. It had been stuck for four hours. Others said it felt significantly faster and way more token efficient.

Front-end development, in particular, seemed like a massive step up. Here's a context that makes it even more interesting. So, GPT 5.5 has the internal codename SPUD. Pre-training was completed on March the 24th.

Greg Brockman, co-founder of OpenAI, said there's two years of research baked into the model. Sam Waltman called it a very strong model that could literally accelerate the economy. So, this isn't like, you know, a tiny little minor update. This isn't like going from GPT 5.1 to 5.2, etc.

Like, this is actually something that they're really working on, they're fully invested in, and they're thinking this is going to be super powerful, right? And the timing is a weird coincidence, too. You know, you've got the same week that Anthropic dealing with the Mythos leak, and then you've got the unauthorized access situation with GPT 5.5, right? And Sam Waltman actually jumped into a thread on X, where Anthropic users were angry about Claude Code being removed from the pro plan for some new signups.

And Waltman's response was that he said, come to the light side, you know? When someone replied they'd switch and buy a subscription if OpenAI launched GPT 5.5 on Thursday, right? Big hint here, literally first day coming up, first day of today, Waltman responded with a salute emoji, right? So, we might be getting GPT 5.5 this week.

Maybe by the time you watch this, it's already out. But either way, the fact that developers got their hands on it even briefly and immediately said it was a clear step up, well, that tells you something, right? So, you've got these mystery models as well. Arcanine, Glacier Alpha, Heisenberg.

Nobody knows for sure what they're doing or what they're for, etc. Some people think the Glacier Alpha variants are just checkpoints for GPT 5.5, like, different versions being tested internally. Others think they could be fine-tuned models for very specific use cases, right? So, for example, like we were talking about before, Rosalind, which has already been announced by ChatGPT, that is fine-tuned for science.

But the point is, like, OpenAI has a whole fleet of models being tested behind the scenes that we didn't even know about, we'd never even heard about. And based on how fast they pulled access, they didn't mean for anyone to see it as well. So, it's getting really interesting, Anthropic and OpenAI both dealing with major leaks in the same week. Anthropic leaked the most powerful model for a CMS error originally.

Then, unauthorized users got access for a vendor. OpenAI leaked at least eight internal models for a UI bug in CodeX. And here's what's wild, both leaks point in the same direction. They're building significantly more powerful models, right?

They're building crazy models that they've never released to the public before, and they're pushing them out. And also, I kind of feel like we're in a stage where things are moving so fast, it's hard to keep up. And not just for me, or not just for you personally, but I'm talking about, like, the actual AI companies, the billion-dollar companies that are struggling with this, right? It's like, there's so much going on, they're trying to move so quickly, the AI is getting so advanced, and there's so much interest in it as well.

But how do you keep all this concealed? How do you stop leaks like this? I don't know if you can, right? And I understand, I don't judge OpenAI or Claude for doing this, right?

It's totally normal. Like, if you've got, like, literally billions of people around the world, you've got billions of dollars in investment, you're going to have some leaks sometimes, right? And the fact that they're both struggling with the same problem, that's going to happen too, right? It's kind of like an indicator of what's going on in the industry right now.

So I think we're going to see GPT 5.5 this week or next week, and I think Anthropic is going to have to figure out how to get MIPHOS class capabilities into the hands of regular users sooner than they actually planned, right? They already set up Project Glasswing, and they compressed the timelines on that because of the original leaks, right? But everything is getting better. Everything's improving.

I'm excited to test out both models. Who knows what's going to happen? If you want to learn more about this stuff, feel free to join the AI Profit Board. Link in the comments description.
