NEW Hermes Desktop App is Insane (FREE)!

Hermes Agent Desktop App (Free) for macOS: Setup + Kanban, Memory, Scheduled Tasks & ProfilesThe video introduces a new free Hermes Agent desktop app for macOS that replaces the messy terminal experience with a clean, organized interface. It shows how to set it up by running Hermes Web UI locally, downloading the latest desktop app release, dragging it into Applications, and updating it, while demonstrating real usage like building and deploying a website via Netlify using a personal access token. The host tours key desktop features including chat history, scheduled tasks, a Kanban board, skills, memory, spaces for local files, profiles, to-dos that auto-update, insights, a dashboard, and logs for errors. It explains switching and creating profiles (optionally with API keys) and argues the dedicated app is more persistent and easier than a browser or terminal, with a built-in test connection.00:00 Hermes Desktop App Overview01:01 Download and Install on Mac01:46 Update and First Launch02:05 Real World Demo Website Build03:09 Hosting and Netlify Workflow04:49 Desktop UI Tour Tasks to Logs06:57 Why Desktop Beats Terminal07:44 Profiles Setup and Switching08:14 Common Concerns Answered08:54 Roadmap Training and Community09:59 Skills Plugins MCPs and Profiles10:33 Wrap Up and Goodbye

A new free Hermes agent desktop app just dropped and it changes how powerful your Hermes agent actually is. Right now, most people are running Hermes in a terminal, tiny text, hard to read, easy to lose track of pretty much everything. This free desktop app fixes all of that with one clean window, your AI agent, all your tasks, everything organized right in front of you. And I'm going to show you exactly how to set up today, step by step, so your Hermes agent is running cleaner and faster than ever before.

There's a Kanban board built in, a full memory system, scheduled tasks, 16 different messaging gateways so your agent can reach you on WhatsApp, Telegram, Slack, wherever you are, and it's all completely free. By the end of this video, your Hermes agent is going to feel like a completely different tool. Way more powerful, way easier to manage. Let's get into it.

So today we're going to be looking at Hermes agent for Mac OS, which is a new desktop app or Hermes agent. So let's get straight into it and look exactly how to set this up. So if you want to run this directly, you can actually just download it. So you need to make sure that you have Hermes web UI, and it's a pretty simple setup.

So you get Hermes web UI, you just copy this and go into your terminal to set it up. I've already got Hermes workspace running, but you can run it like as you can see here. And then once you've done that, you can download the latest desktop app for Hermes from their releases page. Damavish says, Senai and Python is useless now.

Absolutely not. No, I think learning Python, you know, the more you understand this stuff, the better, right? So there's no, it's only going to help you if you understand coding or Python and that sort of thing. Is Olama useful?

Absolutely. Yeah. You get access to loads of models. So yeah, would recommend.

All right. So we're going to download the latest version of the desktop app for Hermes agent right here, as you can see, and we'll open this up and then we just drag that into here, right? So I've actually got Hermes agent already set up. So I'm going to open this up and then we're going to click on open.

We can check for automatically for updates here as well. And then we're going to update this. Okay. Now, if you're wondering, okay, what does this look like in real time, et cetera, you can actually see that we built out a website use using Hermes desktop here, right?

And so it's super easy to use. Now, if we go over here, this is an example of a website that we've built with Hermes desktop app inside the chat. Now you can see here that we need to update, but the first thing we need to do is make sure that we have Hermes web UI running locally. So let's just make sure we've got that running.

I'm just going to check that here. So there we go. That's Hermes web UI. And then this is the desktop app that lets you use Hermes on your desktop with Hermes web UI.

So we need to get this working right here. So I'm going to click on, if we go to a new tab, it's a Hermes, and then we're just going to get the desktop app updated plus working. And what I'm going to do is take the latest information from the GitHub for Hermes web UI and Hermes desktop app. And then I'm going to ask Hermes to fix it, right?

Because we need to update to the latest version. But again, like I can still see my conversation history and I can show you how this works in the meantime. Shackle says, who are you hosting your website with? So I hosted with Netlify.

Netlify is the easiest way I would say to manage websites with your AI agents. So for example, when we're running AI agents with Hermes, and I'll show you some examples of websites that are deployed here, I don't need to log into WordPress to set up new websites and new pages. I can just link it directly to Netlify, give my agents Netlify access via the personal access token. And then we've got the live site deployed, right?

So you can see here, Hermes has access to Netlify, and then it can deploy websites. So literally all we said here was go off and build and create a beautiful website for the AI profitable community. And it went off and did that, and then it deployed this website right here, right? And so you can see the website, pretty nice, nicely designed, et cetera.

And the way that we did this is because Hermes agent already knows a lot about me, right? It already understands a lot about me. And so when I start using the desktop app here, it's a nice, you can compare, this is the TUI, and this is the desktop app, right? Which one is nicer to use?

Which one is easier to see what's going on? Look at that, right? That's super messy compared to the desktop app. So that's why I much prefer the desktop app and why it's a lot easier.

Damavicious says, is Hostinger good too? I don't use Hostinger. No, I never have really, to be honest. I'm going to go through, Shackle says, I'll go through the course later, but is there a sequence for installing Hermes iterations?

Yeah, just install the latest version, follow the steps on the GitHub. That's how you get it installed. And if you're struggling with that sort of stuff, just get Cloud set up for you. That's some, probably the easiest one.

All right, so this is going to begin to install this and reopen the desktop app. That should be updated to the latest version, hopefully. And now we have the desktop app running, right? So it's a lot easier to use.

We can start a new chat. There's these different sections on the left-hand side when you're using Hermes desktop. So for example, we have tasks, Kanban, skills, memory, spaces, profiles, to-dos, insights, Hermes dashboard itself, and then logs, right? So logs are like where you can see the errors that have happened or what's the history with the agents you've used.

And then you've got the chat section here, so you can actually speak to your agent directly. You can have a new conversation here. So you can say, okay, whatever you want to do with your agent, you can do over here. And then you can see your history with the agent too.

Now I think that's super useful. By the way, if you want to zoom in on the app, then you just press command and plus or command and minus to zoom out. And then we can switch between these apps here. So we can actually like delete previous conversations.

We can see what we said, et cetera. We can run through previous conversations, see what happened. We've got the scheduled tasks section here. So you can actually set up new scheduled jobs and that sort of thing.

We have the Kanban board. So with the Kanban board, you can see your previous history on the left-hand side, and then you can actually set up new tasks on your Kanban board here. This is really nice as a UI just to manage and see everything that's happening in real time and organize stuff, which is pretty cool. And you can see the examples right here.

Then we have the skills section. So inside the skills, you can actually see all the skills that we've set up previously with our AI agents, what's installed, et cetera. And then we have the memory. So like my user profile, information about me, it's just all the memory that's stored about me and what I do, et cetera.

We have the spaces section over here. So inside the spaces section, this is basically all of our local files that we can manage. You see how easy it is to manage everything as you go through it. The other cool thing here is we have our profiles.

So we can select between different profiles, we can organize different things, et cetera. We have the to-do list here, so we can actually add tasks to our to-do list. This will automatically update based on the activity with Hermes agent. So Hermes will give itself its own tasks and to-do lists as we give it more tasks to work through.

Then we have the insights section, the Hermes dashboard, and logs. And that's basically it. That's how to use Hermes agent desktop app. Super easy to use.

It's free. It's much nicer to use than the terminal, and also you can just get Hermes to set up for you directly. And also the cool thing is when you set up, you have to set up a local web UI as well. A local web UI is pretty cool because there's all sorts of cool stuff you can do inside Hermes web UI.

There's a lot of cool stuff. So let's talk about this again. What is the Hermes desktop app? It's basically a native Mac app or Hermes agent that has a nice UI.

You don't have to manage it inside the terminal. It's just a really nice web UI that you can talk to directly. Now, most people use AI for the browser or the terminal, but it's super easy to lose track of everything. Sometimes you accidentally close windows.

Sometimes you have 47 open tabs, et cetera. With this, it's like a real Mac app, which you can see right here, that's super easy to use. How do you use the different profiles? So you just switch between them, right?

So if you want to have different agent profiles, you go inside this section. You can add a new profile here. The name, you can clone the config from the existing active profile. You can ignore the base URL, just leave it as default.

And then you can set an API key if you want to as well, but you don't have to. And then you can manage your profiles like this. So you just use a desktop app and you can manage your profiles. That's how you can manage profiles with Hermes agent.

So it's super easy to use, simple to use, et cetera. Some people say I need to be a developer to use this, but you just literally download a file and drag it to your applications folder. It's so easy, right? Other people say this is probably slow, a little bit glitchy like most free tools, but Hermes agent is actually the number one tool in the world.

It just opened to Copenhagen in terms of AI agents. So nothing wrong with free tools to be honest. Other people worry that they'll break something, but actually there's a test connection built in so you can just click that button for your startup. Other people say I don't need a desktop app, the browser works fine, but the browser loses your session, reloads randomly, it's competing with 50 different tabs at the top here.

A dedicated app just keeps your AI focused, persistent, and always just one click away. So that's basically it. That's how it's set up. I've actually got a 30 day roadmap on how to use it, a step-by-step guide, et cetera, which you can see right here.

And I'll put that inside the AI Profit Boarding for you. So if we go inside the classroom here and then we add a new section called Hermes desktop app. There you go. All right.

We have a video tutorial for that too. We've got guides on like Ruffalo agent swarms, Hermes and hyperframes, Hermes browser use, et cetera. Everything you need to know about AI agents, we release new daily trainings based on the best stuff inside the AI Profit Boarding. Link in the comments description or go to the AIprofitboarding.com.

And this comes with an amazing community of people that you can connect with. You can ask questions with, you can connect with me personally as well. It's a lot of fun just being in here and meeting cool people and building awesome stuff. Inside the classroom, you can get access to all my best trainings, including Hermes AI agents, open core, a beginner to expert AI automation class, et cetera.

Everything you need to win with AI. Inside the calendar, you can jump on weekly coaching calls and inside the map, you can connect with people in your local city who are using AI agents like you. So feel free to check that out. Link in the comments description or go to the AIprofitboarding.com.

Jabba says, what about skills plugins and MCPs? You can manage that all inside there. And then Shackle says, what's the point of different profiles? So it's kind of like you've got a team instead of one person, right?

That's the same as asking like, what's the point of having a team when you can have one person, right? The point is like, you can have multiple AI agents working together with different specialist skills, different profiles, different access to different tools, and then you can orchestrate them together. So that's the point really is like, you can have multiple agents working together, building different stuff and creating awesome stuff. So that's the difference.

All right. Thanks for watching. Appreciate it. I'll see you on the next one, peeps.

Cheers.
